We are really excited to let you try our implementation :)

Use the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+Shift+N (Windows, Linux and Chrome OS) and ⌘-Shift-N (Mac)

and copy/paste your Bistri Link to be reached in this incognito window. Your Bistri Link is displayed when your click on “Invite” on the right side of the header on Bistri.

5 - When you receive an incoming call, Canary let you choose the Webcam and the micro you like to use on the top-right of the screen.

As the video call starts, don’t forget to click on “Autorize” on the top bar.

Bisters of the month : Pauline & Philippe

Pauline and Philippe, from Paris, France are our new Bisters of the month.

I asked them a few questions.

When did you start to use Bistri ?
We started to use Bistri in January 2012 because Pauline started to work in the east of France during the week.

How do you use bistri?
We mainly use Bistri for personal video calls during the week. It’s the most pleasant way to keep contact as a family!

What do you like about bistri? Why are you using Bistri more than another service ?
Bistri is intuitive, fast and reliable. It works even with low connection speed (the HD video quality option is useful). Compared to other services, Pauline doesn’t need to launch a specific software (no always available in hotels), she just has to connect to the internet!

We also like to have fun with the different video effects, check it out here!

What new feature would like Bistri to develop to make your life easier?
The iOS Application.

Share your love for Bistri and be our next bister of the month !!

Community Manager.

Dear Bisters,

A new release means a new feature, and we are proud to deliver a new functionality that allows you to share files through Bistri.

How can I share a file ?

During a conversation on Bistri, you can simply click on the «send file» button at the bottom right of the chat and select a file on your computer.

A link will be automatically shared with your callee, allowing him to visualize the file you are sending in a new window in his browser.

What can I share ?

You can share any types of files on Bistri (images, documents…).

The only prerequisite is that the file can’t be larger than 10 Mb (for now…)

Plus…

Send your file to anybody !

  • copy/paste the link anywhere
  • works with your social/IM contacts (Facebook, Yahoo Messenger, Live Messenger, XMPP, etc…)

Even if your contact is offline, he will be notified by email that you’ve tryed to reach him. As soon as he is back on Bistri, he can download your file (24h max after your upload it).
